Encapsulation in Baton Rouge, LA
Years of moisture problems had caused damage to this home and its floors, but our team was unable to do much of this and make sure further damage is prevented. In the after image, you can see two components that play a large part in making this happen. The underside of the home is no longer left fully exposed, now protected with our CleanSpace Barrier. This helps fight moisture from the ground, the walls and supports of the crawl space. Also seen in the image is our system of Smart Jacks. These supports are installed permanently under the home and will continue to level out and support the floors that were affected by moisture. Unseen in the image is our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system. These work in tandem to collect moisture from the air and ground and remove it from the crawl space. All together this makes our encapsulation system, the ultimate protective measure against moisture!
Mold and Moisture in Baton Rouge, LA Crawlspace
This homeowner in Louisiana called us because they were having some moisture issues in the crawlspace, causing their floors to buckle and their subfloor to rot.
Moisture-proofing in Baton Rouge, LA
This homeowner was dealing with various issues, including soft spots in the floors, that were also freezing cold floors in the winter. Fortunately, we were able to introduce them to a system that can tackle all of that! The encapsulation system focuses on sealing and conditioning the underside of the home. The biggest benefit to this is moisture control. Wrapping the crawl space in our CleanSpace Liner, lowering humidity with a dehumidifier, and sending water away with a sump pump prevents moisture damage from every source. Conditioning the space in this way also acts as a great form of insulation, which will help with the temperature of the floors. The difference in protection is huge, and so is the visual difference! Check out the provided before and after images, taken by the crew that installed it.
Encapsulation in Clinton, LA
After doing some research, these homeowners became concerned about their crawl space that was left completely unprotected against moisture and the outdoor elements. To teach them more about the potential concerns and preventive measures, we sent out one of our skilled design specialist, Corey, to take a look at their crawl space. To really protect the underside of the home and the floors above, Corey crafted up a plan for our encapsulation system, a complete sealing and conditioning of the crawl space. This includes a durable vapor barrier, a crawl space dehumidifier, and a sump pump system. Each component plays a part in tackling moisture and humidity, making sure they cannot cause any issues. The homeowners loved the idea, decided to move forward, and shortly after we had one of our talented crews out to install the work. Take a look at the difference in the provided photos. Great job to each of our team members who contributed!
Low Crawlspace in Bayou Vista, Louisiana with Moisture Problems
This crawlspace was set right above our 12" benchmark to install an encapsulation. Anything under 12" is too low for our guys and products to get under.
This house originally had lattice work wrapped around the perimeter of the crawlspace, leaving it susceptible to outside air. Thankfully, the homeowner had this bricked in, in anticipation of the encapsulation. Once this was done, our guys came out and installed our encapsulation system utilizing the sump pump, dehumidifier, drainage matting, and 20 mil liner. Now this crawlspace will be able to dry out without the influence of humidity and ground water seepage.
