Foundation Wall Repair in South Sioux City, NE

Robert B. is a proud homeowner in South Sioux City, NE and considering moving within the next year. Before entering his home on the market, he wants to have complete confidence his house is in the best condition to achieve its highest value. However, the north wall of his basement foundation was showing visible signs of failure. Robert was familiar with Thrasher and our dedication to a quality solution and customer service. System Design Specialist Joe Mulheim arrived at Robert’s home and performed a thorough inspection on the failing wall. It was determined that it was experiencing stage two wall failure and was visible from both the outside and inside of the home.

To begin repairing the foundation wall, our team used five of our GeoLock Anchor systems to permanently stabilize the wall and return it to its original position over time. The team opted to use this product because there were obstructions in the home’s joists that would have been costly to move. These anchors are embedded deep into stable soil and then attached to the steel plates on the interior of the wall (pictured in the after photo). GeoLock Anchors are installed year-round and often completed in less than one day.

Robert was thankful for the painless solution we were able to provide, and for restoring the value of his home. He was impressed with the entire process and now has confidence his home will bring maximum value on the market.

Settling Foundation in Sioux City, IA Saved with Push Piers

Evan G.’s home was settling, and he was having trouble with doors shutting properly and cracking in the drywall. Looking for a long-term solution to stabilizing his home, his son recommended to have Thrasher come out and take a look.

We sent Service Technician, Matthew George out to the home. His was able to identify that the westers corner of his home was settling into the ground, which was causing problems inside the home. Cracks were also starting to appear in the floors and back patio. We were able to install Push Piers and attach them into the footings of the home to permanently stabilize the foundation and prevent further settlement.

Retaining Wall Failure in Council Bluffs, IA

This homeowner didn't want his wall to fall over after he moved, as he was moving next door to where the wall would be his backyard. We had done work for the homeowner in the past, so he decided to give us a call.

We sent System Design Specialist Matt Jacobson to inspect the wall and determine what was causing it to fall as well as how to fix this problem for the homeowner. Matt found that the old wall anchors on his wall were installed years ago and they were failing to support the wall, allowing it to lean. He knew that these older anchors would not be fixable, so he came up with a plan to use new GeoLock Anchors to stabilize the wall over time. Our installation team came out and installed these new anchors quickly so that the wall could start to push back towards its original position.

The homeowner was so impressed with the communication and the cleanup afterwards as well as with the wall straightening within the first month. Check out the new wall anchors on this retaining wall!

Foundation Repair in Baxter Springs, KS

Jeff W. is a homeowner in Baxter Springs, KS but had recently purchased a new home making him want to sell his current one. However, before selling Jeff knew the foundation problems were going to have be taken care of. To find the best permanent solution, Jeff gave Thrasher a call to come inspect the failing foundation.

System Design Specialist Robert Griffin arrived in Baxter Springs to perform a thorough inspection in order to find the best solution. The interior wall that separated the crawl space from the cellar area had a two-inch sheer at the bottom and deflected enough the floor above it had dropped. To fix this, the team installed our PowerBrace support system and ShotLock wall restoration. The PowerBrace permanently stabilizes the foundation and can be tightened over time to return it to its vertical position. ShotLock is then used to seal all cracks to prevent water from seeping in.

Jeff was thrilled with the results of the solutions our team installed.  He was impressed with the quality and display of professionalism from the crew. He now has the confidence he needs to sell his home for maximum value.
