This home's downspouts were releasing water right on its foundation. This can cause a washout of the dirt and future foundation issues. While we were out doing concrete repair work on their driveway, we buried the downspouts to prevent future issues. 

These homeowners wanted to refinish their basement, but their bowing basement walls were stopping them. The problem was that they had top shear on one of their foundation walls and hydrostatic pressure from the soil on the outside of the walls. Our team fixed these problems by installing PowerBraces on the "problem" wall. We decided to use PowerBrace because the walls were poured and the deflection wasn't to the point of requiring another fix. Now the wall is stable and these homeowners can start their refinishing project!b

This homeowner was using his covered porch space as an exercise room, however he recently noticed that the floor was a bit unstable. He was concerned that he wouldn't be able to exercise in his room if he didn't try to it, so he decided to give us a call. 

We had System Design Specialist Daryn Britton look at the structure of the porch and determine what was causing the floor to feel unstable. Daryn found that the floor was unstable because there was not a strong enough support system underneath the porch. In order to fix this, Daryn suggested that the homeowner had SmartJacks and a new support beam installed. The homeowner liked this solution, so we had an installation team use these products to lift and stabilize the homeowner's porch. These homeowners were struggling with severe sagging floors which were causing problems when they were renovating their home. When they decided to have something done about this, they gave us a call and we sent System Design Specialist Justice Haven. Justice inspected the homeowner's crawlspace as sagging floors are commonly a result of crawlspace problems, and he found that the crawlspace had a lot of water which had weakened support structures. He determined that this was due to the soil in the dirt crawlspace washing out and leaving moisture to cause problems with the structure. After discussing these problems with the homeowner, Justice designed a solution in which the crawlspace would be encapsulated and kept dry, as well as new support would be added to combat the sagging floors problem. One of our installation teams came out to this home and installed SmartJacks and supplemental support beams to reinforce and stabilize the flooring, then, they installed CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate the crawlspace and keep it dry. This homeowner originally called us out for a free estimate regarding waterproofing solutions for his wet basement floor. When System Design Specialist Bobby Bartow discovered the foundation wall problem, he knew that he needed to refocus the homeowner on the more immediate issue. Bobby discovered that the previous company who had used carbon fiber tape to fix the concrete wall did not know that this product cannot properly support a concrete wall. After explaining this problem to the homeowner, the homeowner was determined to have this problem solved the right way so that he would no longer need to worry about his wall he thought was stable.

Bobby called our installation team to work on installing PowerBraces that will stabilize the wall and even move it back to its original position over time. While this installation was happening, Bobby knew that the homeowner was still wanting some waterproofing solutions so that his basement was not wet, yet the homeowner still wanted to stay within a budget that included the PowerBraces; Bobby talked to the homeowner and to the crew to work on installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to ensure that water would be pumped out of the basement regardless of the situation.
