Popular Walkway with Hazardous Concrete, Mississauga, ON

The main walkway for an apartment in Mississauga, Ontario had many trip hazards from the front of the building to the roadway. Multiple concrete slabs were sinking. Many other slabs were affected by tree roots growing under the concrete. The owner of the building wanted to get the walkway repaired as quickly as possible as it was becoming a very serious safety risk for everyone.

The owner contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling and our Project Lead suggested our PolyLevel Injection System. Billy McKeown and our installation team injected polyurethane through dime-sized holes made in the concrete to fill the voids under the slabs. The walkways were successfully lifted, leveled and stabilized.

The owner was very happy with how quickly and effectively our team was able to complete the job. All of the trip hazards were fixed along the walkway.

Front Garden Tarnished by Sinking Concrete in Mississauga, Ontario

We all take pride in our homes, but sometimes in different ways. Some of us love our basement lounge areas, our open-concept kitchens, or our beautiful backyards.

A customer in Mississauga, Ontario, has a meticulously manicured front yard. He adores his front garden and had a company pour a concrete walkway to complement it. After a few years, he noticed the concrete was sinking. He hated walking up to the house and seeing it every day, so he knew he had to do something.

After discovering us on a bus shelter billboard, the homeowner reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Project Manager Kyle O'Brien met with him and completed a thorough inspection of the entire walkway and steps. Kyle explained how the company likely never compressed the fill soils before pouring the concrete. As time went on, water washed away some of the soil, making the concrete sink.

The customer was frustrated that this wasn't a repair he could take care of himself. Kyle assured him we could repair the concrete in a day's work with little disruption, and the customer's worries were quickly fading away.

Foreman Bill McKeown used our PolyLevel® System to lift and level the concrete. PolyLevel® is injected through dime-sized holes where it expands beneath the slabs. Bill carefully lifted the walkway and steps, removing any tripping hazards and improving the gardens' look.

The customer feels excellent knowing he made the right choice. His garden is back up to his standards, and the front of his home is safe again.

Settled Concrete in Mississauga, ON

Why does concrete settle? It can happen from poor soil conditions. As the concrete compresses against the ground, it loosens the soil and over time the weight of the concrete forces it to settle. To permanently fix this issue our team at Canadian Concrete Leveling uses Polyurethane that compacts and compresses the loose soil under the slab and lifts, levels and stabilizes the concrete. This is how we solved our customer’s sidewalk repair in Mississauga, Ontario.

Front Porch Step Sinks in Mississauga, Ontario

Front walkways and entryways are one of the most used areas in our home. So, when something goes wrong with these spots, it’s hard to ignore.

A customer in Mississauga, Ontario, had a concrete front step that had sunk significantly. The step had turned into a tripping hazard, and the homeowner wanted it dealt with before someone got hurt.

He reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Joe McColl to review his options before a date was set for the repair. Foreman Kyle McKeown drilled holes in the top of the step and injected our PolyLevel® polyurethane beneath the concrete slab to lift it. To finish the job, he patched the drill holes with fresh concrete.

The customer is very pleased that their tripping hazard is gone for good. They can now use their front steps without worrying about anyone getting hurt.

Sinking Back Stairs & Concrete Leveling Repair in Mississauga, Ontario

A homeowner in Mississauga was dealing with a growing issue at the back of their home where the concrete stairs had been slowly sinking over several years. What began as minor settlement progressively worsened, eventually creating a noticeable gap between the stairs and the home. This movement not only affected the appearance of the property but also created a serious trip hazard and ongoing safety concern for regular use of the back entrance.

The issue was traced back to poorly compacted soil beneath the original stair installation. Because the surrounding soil had not been properly stabilized during construction, the weight of the concrete caused gradual compression and settlement over time. Once a gap formed between the stairs and the foundation, water began to infiltrate beneath the slab, washing away additional soil and accelerating the sinking process.

Concerned about both safety and the cost of full replacement, the homeowner contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling for a long-term solution. After a thorough assessment, the team recommended the PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection system as the most effective method for restoring stability without demolition.

Using this advanced concrete leveling process, high-density expanding foam was injected beneath the sunken stairs through small, minimally invasive holes. As the material expanded, it filled hidden voids, compacted the weakened soil, and gently lifted the stairs back toward their original position. This method not only corrected the settlement but also helped prevent future movement by stabilizing the underlying base.

Once completed, the stairs were fully leveled, the gap at the foundation was eliminated, and the trip hazard was removed. The homeowner was pleased with the quick turnaround, clean process, and long-lasting results, and appreciated having a permanent, warrantied solution that restored both safety and appearance without the need for costly replacement.
