School Walkway Leveling in Toronto, ON

A school in Toronto, Ontario had uneven pavement in multiple spots on the walkway of the school. There were some slabs that were trip hazards and there were some slabs slanted towards a hill.  There were students slipping during the winter months off the path and down the hill. This was becoming a serious hazard. The owner of the school needed Canadian Concrete Leveling to come to fix these hazards before the school year started up again. 

Our team came in and drilled dime-sized holes in the affected areas. They then pumped PolyLevel® into the holes to fill the void under the concrete to even out the slabs and stabilize them. To be able to lean the slab away from the hill they used a jack to hold it up on one side and then continued to use PolyLevel. The Canadian Concrete Leveling team did this job before school started so that the owner did not have to worry about trip hazards and unsafe walkways for the students. 

Front Walkway Threatens Visitor Safety in Toronto, Ontario

When company comes to your home, you shouldn’t have to worry whether they can make it to your front door safely. 

But for a customer in Toronto, Ontario, this is what he dealt with every time someone came to the door. A large portion of his front walkway was sinking, creating a dangerous tripping hazard. He knew something had to be done but didn’t want to spend thousands on a new walkway.

After reaching out to Canadian Concrete Leveling, he met with Project Manager Joe McColl. The customer was pleasantly surprised to hear that we had a solution for repairing the concrete without any excavating.

Joe showed him a video of our PolyLevel® System in action. The customer watched how our unique solution lifts concrete using high-density polyurethane injections. The demo piqued his curiosity. He started looking forward to the installation date so he could see the product firsthand.

Foreman Kyle McKeown started by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface to use as injection ports. As the polyurethane is injected it expands, lifting the concrete and compressing fill soils below. To finish the job Kyle patched the holes with fresh concrete. 

The customer is still blown away by the simplicity and efficiency of the process. His walkway is finally safe, and he was able to repair it for a fraction of the cost he thought he’d have to endure.

Poor Soil Causes Walkway Slabs to Shift in Toronto, Ontario

The front of your home leaves a lasting impression in the minds of visitors. It’s the first thing people see when they come to visit, and it’s also the first thing possible buyers see during a showing. 

A customer in Toronto, Ontario, was having trouble with their front walkway. Poor soil had caused the slabs to sink and shift, creating a tripping hazard and causing an unsightly scene. They were concerned water may even make its way into the house, so they reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling.

Project Manager Joe McColl met with the customers and inspected their walkway. He introduced them to our PolyLevel® system, and a date was set for the repair.

Foreman Kyle McKeown worked hard installing our high-density polyurethane in a number of spots to lift and level the slabs. He also ensured that the walkway drained away from the home’s foundation, preventing water from possibly entering the house. 

The customer is happy that his walkway is leveled, and his tripping hazard is gone. His home has a welcoming front entrance once again, and the risk of water seepage has been eliminated.

Customer in Awe by our Polyurethane System in Keswick, Ontario

A garage is a handy space for a home. It serves an endless number of purposes, and each homeowner finds their own unique way of using this space.

A customer in Keswick, Ontario, noticed his garage floor was sinking. The client had seen cracking over the years, but up until recently, there was never an issue. His mind immediately went to the expense and hassle of replacing a garage floor.

Project Manager Joe McColl met with the customer and thoroughly inspected the garage. Joe put the homeowner's mind at ease by explaining our non-invasive PolyLevel System®. The customer was delighted to hear he didn't need to redo the entire floor and was excited to have his concrete repaired in less than a day's work.

Foreman Kyle McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface. These small holes are used as injection ports for our high-density polyurethane. As the solution is installed, it expands beneath the floor to lift the concrete. This process also compresses fill soils below and fills any cavities.

The customer can barely tell we were ever there. He was able to park in the driveway later in the day. He's thrilled he saved thousands of dollars by not replacing the floor.

Stepping into this Home Got a Little Difficult, Queensville, ON

Stepping into your home is a breeze, but it was a challenge for this one. In Queensville, Ontario, these homeowners had a front walkway sink 2 inches causing pooling/ice and a larger step into the home. They heard of Canadian Concrete Leveling through one of their friends, who happened to be our clients. Without hesitation, they gave us a call, and we could schedule a day for our experienced Project Manager, Paul Mendell, to come to the home. After Paul arrived, he quoted them for our high-grade polyurethane injection system called PolyLevel®. This system is where we inject polyurethane into the concrete to fill voids underneath. From there, the material expands, which causes the concrete to lift back to its original building code. Once all the numbers were crunched, we had our installation specialist, Bill McKeown, arrived later. Bill started by drilling small holes into the concrete where the sinking happened. From there, he began injecting the polyurethane to lift and level the walkway. Finally, to seal everything off, he sued our high-grade, water-resistant, chemical-resistant sealer called NexusPro®. Once everything was said and done, the walkway looked good as new!
