They discussed and agreed the home needed some additional support, because it seemed that the current foundation was not strong enough to hold up the weight of furniture and people in the home. This customer in Clarksville needed crawl space repair to his home. The beams holding the home up were starting to rot and become structurally unsound. Because it's built directly underneath your home, your crawl space plays a key role in your home's structural integrity. Crawl spaces bear this weight through the foundation walls and crawl space support columns.

Floors over crawl space foundations sag due to many reasons, including inadequate or shifting supports beneath floor joists and lumber deterioration due to mold and rot.

As a floor sags, this problem is often associated with other issues, including cracking drywall, skewed door and window openings, and a potentially moldy, musty odor in the house. Our SmartJack® system is designed to straighten and strengthen sagging floors over crawl space foundations. We also have other products that can eliminate crawl space moisture problems like rot and corroded metal surfaces.

The customer in Clarksville, TN called Frontier when they noticed moisture issues and mold growth in their crawl space. For this project, we cleaned up the debris in the crawl space and then remediated the mold issue. After that to prevent the problem from reoccurring we installed Drainage matting, CleanSpace liner on the floor and walls, a TripleSafe sump pump, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a drainage system. We finished the project off with a new EverLast crawl space door.  

The homeowners in Clarksville, TN noticed sagging floors in their home and requested an inspection. Our expert found an inadequate liner in the crawl space, sealed with duct tape and not properly secured. Combined with high humidity levels and mold spores, we recommended a full encapsulation. To fix this, we installed SmartJack Stabilizers to lift the floors, added a sealed Clean Space Vapor Barrier, and placed steel beams for support. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to prevent future mold growth.
