A homeowner in Beechgrove, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to encapsulate their dirt crawl space. To start, drainage matting was placed on the dirt floor of the crawl space. A CleanSpace vapor barrier was laid out across the crawl space floor and along the walls and concrete pillars. The barrier works to make the crawl space a more sterile space. SilverGlo insulated panels were placed on the walls to resist heat, as well as TerraBlock insulation to act as an additional water barrier. To prevent moisture from building up inside the now encapsulated space, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. This powerful piece of equipment keeps the crawl space free of moisture and mold. Finally, SilverGlo insulated panels were installed to improve energy efficiency, as well as a new crawl space door to prevent pests and debris from finding their way in.
