We recently met with a homeowner, Richard, in Germantown, TN, to inspect a sidewalk in front of his home that had developed a significant trip hazard. After a complaint was filed with the city, he was required to either repair or replace the damaged concrete slabs. To meet city requirements without incurring the cost of full replacement, Richard chose the most efficient and budget-friendly option—PolyLevel® concrete lifting. During the visit, Richard also requested an assessment of his backyard patio. The patio featured 34 linear feet of control joints, each approximately two inches wide and three inches deep. Most joints still contained aging wood filler that had begun to rot. We removed all decayed material and prepped the joints for sealing. The front porch of this home was not only sinking in and becoming an eyesore, it was actually sinking in to the foundation's piers causing them to crack.
