This crawlspace in Earlysville was leaking and moldy. The dirt floor was covered in a thin layer of plastic that did not stop water and mud from getting in. This homeowner had a dirt crawl space with moldy insulation that need to be replaced. Fortress solved this issue by waterproofing the crawl space with a CleanSpace Encapsulation. We also installed a TripleSafe Sump System to ensure that the crawlspace would stay clean and dry.

This homeowner wanted to take care of their crawl space by doing a complete encapsulation to give them peace of mind knowing that underneath of their home would provide clean and dry air into their home up above.

Our System Designer, Scott Llewellyn, went out to this assess crawl space and recommended that the best solution would be to install a complete CleanSpace encapsulation, along with a SmartSump sump pump.

Our CleanSpace vapor barrier is designed to permanently prevent moisture and outside air from getting into the crawlspace. The SmartSump will pump out any ground water beneath the vapor barrier. Together, the vapor barrier and Smart Sump will ensure that this crawlspace will stay clean and dry!
