Ian D., of Potomac, MD, noticed his basement walls bowing more and more. He also had stairstep cracks in the walls that were growing. He called the foundation experts - Fortress Foundation Solutions!  A System Designer met with him and provided a free estimate to permanently stabilize his walls: a Carbon Armor Wall System. These straps are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against the basement wall. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite preparing the basement walls by grinding down strips. Next, heavy epoxy was applied to the walls and the carbon straps attached. ArmorLock brackets bind and secure the CarbonArmor straps to floor joists making the CarbonArmor solution fast, non-invasive, and ideal for quickly stabilizing bowing and leaning walls. The homeowner in Lorton, VA observed uneven floors throughout their residence. Upon contacting Fortress Foundation Solutions, our team promptly dispatched a System Designer to assess the situation. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a series of PowerBraces to prevent further bowing in this customer's home. Over time, the braces can be tightened, and will eventually lead to a straightening of the affected wall.

He recommended a push pier system, including 3 piers and brackets, that would lift the house back to its original positioning and close the gap beginning to form. The homeowners agreed to this solution, and soon after, our Forman AJ came out with his crew to install the push pier system. After it was completed, our customers were so glad to feel certain that they'd have many more years in their beloved home, and that their foundations were once again stable.
