This New London, WI homeowner was dealing with more than one basement problem. Water intrusion was creating wet conditions along the foundation walls and floor, while portions of the foundation also showed signs of inward movement that required structural attention.

Moisture can enter a basement through foundation walls as well as the joint where the walls meet the concrete floor. Sure-Dry designed a combined basement waterproofing and foundation repair solution. CleanSpace® was installed along the basement walls to create a durable moisture barrier and direct wall seepage into the drainage system.

Because conditions in this basement called for a drainage solution installed along the wall rather than beneath the floor, DryTrak® was installed to collect incoming water and channel it toward the sump system.

An UltraSump® system was installed to provide dependable pumping protection and remove collected groundwater from the basement.

To address the structural concerns, PowerBrace™ beams were installed against the affected foundation walls. The galvanized steel beams provide permanent stabilization without requiring excavation outside the home.

Working around an older home's fieldstone foundation and additions requires careful installation because the surfaces aren't as uniform as those found in newer poured-concrete or block foundations. The CleanSpace system was fitted to the unique layout of these crawl spaces to separate the home from moisture coming through the ground and foundation surfaces.

The finished encapsulation provides a cleaner, drier environment beneath the home and helps protect the structure above from the effects of crawl space moisture.
