In Hatley, WI, a homeowner reported significant inward bowing in a basement wall along with horizontal cracking that worsened during wet periods. Marathon County’s clay-rich soils were exerting lateral pressure against the wall, causing measurable displacement and classic symptoms such as wall deflection, mortar-joint separation, and uneven floor-to-wall gaps. After:
Sure-Dry installed a series of GeoLock® Wall Anchors to stabilize the bowing wall and stop further inward movement. Each anchor rod was driven into stable soil away from the failing wall, tensioned using verified torque measurements, and locked into place to counteract the hillside and soil load. Along with the anchoring system, Sure-Dry installed a full interior basement waterproofing system to manage water seepage and reduce hydrostatic pressure.
Together, these systems now protect the home from both structural movement and water intrusion—critical improvements for properties in Central Wisconsin’s moisture-responsive soil conditions.

The concrete driveway of this home in Ringle, WI was sunken down multiple inches, causing the concrete to completely break and separate.
