Before

A homeowner in Little Chute, WI was dealing with moisture and water intrusion in their basement. Water entering around the perimeter and through the foundation walls was creating damp conditions and making it difficult to rely on the basement as a clean, dry part of the home.

Wisconsin's heavy rains, spring snowmelt and changing groundwater levels can saturate the soil surrounding a foundation. As pressure builds, groundwater can find its way through cracks, porous foundation materials and the vulnerable joint where the basement wall meets the floor.

Because water was affecting multiple areas of the basement, the homeowner needed a complete system that could manage both wall moisture and groundwater entering around the perimeter.

After

Sure-Dry installed WaterGuard® along the interior perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard intercepts groundwater entering near the foundation and wall-floor joint and provides a controlled drainage path toward the sump system.

We also installed CleanSpace® along the basement walls. The durable liner provides a clean, bright barrier over the foundation walls while directing moisture that enters through the wall down into the WaterGuard drainage system instead of allowing it to reach the basement floor.

The collected water is then directed into a SuperSump®, where it is pumped safely away from the foundation.

The three components work together as one waterproofing system: CleanSpace manages moisture coming through the walls, WaterGuard captures and channels incoming water, and SuperSump removes it from the home.

With the installation complete, this Little Chute homeowner now has a cleaner, drier and better-protected basement with a system designed to manage water from the foundation walls all the way to its safe removal from the home.
