Highland, Illinois homeowner Carole H. was troubled by water leaking into her basement. The water leaked in through cracks in her block foundation and at the area where the floor meets the wall. Though she had a sump pump, it failed to keep the basement dry. Nate C., System Design Specialist, visited Marie's home, and Upon inspection, Nate discovered that the foundation of Carole's home was settling. He designed a solution to support the foundation and keep the basement dry.

Foreman Brad P. and his crew waterproofed the basement by installing WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard collects and guides water to the TripleSafe sump pump system. A new basement window was also installed to keep outdoor elements out. To support the foundation, PowerBrace was installed.

A foundation was in need of some support in Highland, IL, so the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!

This Percy, Illinois basement had water problems.  The soil around the foundation held too much water, causing the soil to swell. The walls then bowed, and water to seeped in.  Woods installed wall anchors and the WaterGuard basement waterproofing system to solve the problem.

Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the problem and decided that Smart Jacks in the crawl space would fix the homeowner's issues. Foreman James L. then headed to the home to get the job started.

Smart Jacks, pictured above, are attached to the floor joists above the crawl space. Once the posts are installed, they are adjusted to help raise and level the floors. The Smart Jacks can be adjusted anytime necessary to help level the home.

Bob J. no longer has to worry about his home's floors being uneven or sagging. His home now has stable and level floors.
