The homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems with the goal of replacing their old dehumidifier and keeping their basement humidity at a safe level.

The homeowner opted to have a new SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier installed to keep the air dry and their family healthy. The SaniDry Sedona is capable of removing 95 pints of water from the air a day and filters mold spores, dust mite droppings, and other particles from the air. The SaniDry is more energy efficient than the average dehumidifier, costing less to run, and is set it and forget it. Unlike the typical dehumidifier that fills up a bucket that needs to be dumped regularly, the SaniDry Sedona drains to a discharge line, meaning the homeowner never needs to check on it and the basement humidity stays at a safe level all the time. In the before photo from our recent project in Bethel, ME, water was seeping through the floor, threatening the integrity of the finished basement. To resolve this, our team at TC Hafford Basement Systems installed the reliable BrightWall system, TripleSafe Sump Pump and WaterGuard drainage system. As you can see in the after photo, these products work together to effectively channel water away from the foundation, preventing further issues. This combination ensures the basement remains dry year-round. Homeowners can now use the space with confidence, knowing it is protected from future water damage.

Bethel, ME homeowners experienced a wet basement every time it rained, and had concerns over a crack in their foundation wall. They called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to waterproof their basement. We first installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects water and channels it directly to the TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe then pumps water away from the home out through an exterior buried discharge line. Finally, BrightWall was added to the basement walls as a vapor barrier. It is durable, easy to clean, and never discolors, giving the basement a fresh, bright appearance.

Replacing the old sump pump was a must for the customer to make sure water would be pumped out of the basement before it had a chance to form any puddles. A SuperSump was installed in place of the old sump and connected to a Buried Exterior Discharge line that takes the water far from the home where it won’t cause any problems. IceGuard was installed on the Discharge line to prevent ice from building up during the cold winter months, ensuring that the system will run smoothly year-round. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed in the basement to keep humidity at a safe level, preventing mold, musty odors, and keeping the space safe for storage. Now this Seabrook, NH home is protected, and the homeowner can use their basement to its fullest potential.
