The homeowners in Williamston, MI were noticing that one of their walls in their basment had horizontal cracks near the top of the wall and was starting to bow. Horizontal cracks are one of the first signs of a bowing wall. The cracks need to be fixed right away because they start out small, but they will increase in width over time as the soil outisde continues to put pressure on the wall. 

To fix the bowing wall out professional team installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor system. Galvanized steel earth anchors are embedded into the soil out away from the foundation wall. Steel wall plates are installed inside the home on the problem wall. The earth anchors and steel plates are then connected together by galvanized steel rods. Once installed, wall anchors will hold walls in their current position without any further adjustment. They can be tightened during dry periods allowing for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. 

The GeoLock wall anchor system stops the homeowners wall from bowing and allows the wall to be straightened over time. 

Gene just recently added an addition to her home that has a separate basement area than the rest of the home. This area gets water in it during Michigan's wet seasons and then during heavy rain as well. The water enters where the floor and wall meet so it doesn't flow towards the sump pump that they already have. We installed the WaterGuard system to help with the water issue in her home. The WaterGuard is a system that contains a French drain installed under the floor to collect water that is leaking into the area. The collected water is sent to the sump pump to be discharged outside the home.

Casey and her family want to give an upgrade to the basement in their home by creating a living area as well as some extra bedrooms. Due to having rooms downstairs, she wanted to make sure that the area was safe so she called us about Egress windows and wells. We came and installed 2 Egress windows and wells to the basement. The windows are large enough to allow safe exit out of the space in case of an emergency and allow more natural light into the area. The wells The well that is around the window is made up of one piece so that it will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. The wells are also engineered for safety because there ladders or sturdy steps attached to make it easy to get out!

Wes noticed the sump pump in his basement no longer removed water and was allowing a pool to form. He knew this wasn't a "do-it-yourself" project, so he called Ayers. Our specialists stopped by his home and agreed the TripleSafe sump pump was the best plan. TripleSafe includes three pumps, a backup, and a battery-powered pump in case of power outages. Wes is happy to be worry-free with a dry basement!

The customer called us after they had cut out the edges of their concrete floor in an attempt to solve their basement water problem. This...did not work. This is mostly because even if the water has dirt (vs. concrete) to sink into, you still have wet ground in your basement.
