Kevin and Michelle's home was built in 1904 and they have been living there for about 4 years. They noticed a hump in the floor of the home when they moved in, but never got around to dealing with it. Now, floors are sagging and there are areas that where the floor is bouncy. Worried about the house crumbling down, they called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew determined that SmartJacks would be the perfect solution for the couple. 

SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the home, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete.

The crew originally thought of using power braces to correct the failing wall, although pipes within the basement were an issue. The basement wall had vertical and horizontal cracks, which are some of the first signs of wall failure. To prevent the wall from cracking and bowing any further, the crew decided to install CarbonArmor.

There was a bowed wall in Cory and Sarah’s garage so our team installed the GeoLock Anchor System. This system permanently stabilized Cory and Sarah's wall.
