Dean worried about the dirt floor of his crawl space and the moisture seeping through the dirt. He wasn't sure what to do, so he gave Ayers a call. With this insulation, it will seal off the crawl space in the places where cold air was seeping in through small cracks in the concrete. This will reduce Tom's heating bill in the long run. The rim joists were insulated as well since small cracks and seams can pop up around these rim joists in crawl spaces. Outside air flow is now cut off from seeping in and will keep unwanted moisture and allergens out.
