Linda, from Pequot Lakes, MN, was looking for some solutions for her home's basement space. The basement was experiencing water intrusion, so she decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Shane, headed out to the property. 

Following a thorough inspection, Shane gave his recommendations to Linda, suggesting that she invest in our WaterGuard system as well as our SuperSump Plus. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. Linda agreed, and our crew got to work.

Our Foreman, Juan, and his crew began implementing our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The crew then broke out concrete to make a feed line. From there, our crew installed our SuperSump Plus Sump Pump to the feedline. Our crew filled the open gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. 

After all was said and done, Linda was very glad she made the decision to call American Waterworks and had her peace of mind restored.

A homeowner in Clearbrook, MN, was cleaning their basement when they discovered water seeping near the walls. Immediately frightened by the discovery, the homeowners quickly search for a solution. After talking to a neighbor, they recommended calling us, American Waterworks. Richie diagnosed that a Waterguard and Feedline would need to be installed to drain the excess water. Our crew began the construction of the WaterGuard, by digging a small trench along the footing of the wall. Next, they placed the WaterGuard and ran it along the walls. Then, the crew dug another small trench across the floor to insert the Feedline. After it was all in place, the crew covered the piping. Finally, the crew demolished the wall where the mold and rot were discovered and covered the walls in CleanSpace. The crew left the homeowners with peace of mind knowing their basement is waterproofed and prepared for future storms. 

Jim M. of Brainerd, MN had water leaking underneath his basement stairs, so he did some research on HomeAdvisor and came across American Waterworks. Our Foreman, Dan Hendrix, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete underneath the stair landing to form a small trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System which acts as an underground drain. Next, our team applied our CleanSpace Wall System, designed to prevent mold and humidity build-up. To complete the work, Dan and his crew covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Jim was very happy with the work and is grateful we were able to help him and his home repair needs!
