Wet Floors in Basement Gets Waterproofed in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed that the floors in her basement had been wet and was unsure of the cause. Knowing the issue would not fix itself, the homeowner began searching for basement waterproofing contractors in Minneapolis, MN, and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews, the homeowner became confident in our abilities and decided to schedule his FREE basement waterproofing estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Ryan P., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the basement, answer any questions, and provide the best solution to the homeowner. During the inspection, Ryan noticed water stains along the perimeter of the basement. He explained to the homeowner that it appears that the water leaks are due to a failed footing drain. When this fails, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation and water forces itself through cracks on the walls, between the footing and the wall, or beneath the footing. To effectively tackle this issue, Ryan recommended installing WaterGuard, our below-the-floor perimeter drainage system that collects water at the perimeter of the basement and sends it to the sump pump, SuperSump+, our elite sump pump system capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to escape in case the discharge pipes freeze. After looking over Ryan's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Francisco E., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed 35ft of WaterGuard, 1 SuperSump+, and 1 IceGuard. After they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Basement Waterproofed in Greenbush, MN

A homeowner in Greenbush, MN had water leaking from their wall, making them feel nervous about water moisture and humidity problems. They called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE Estimate for our Design Specialist, Richie Noreen. Richie went to their home, inspected their problems, and came up with a solution. The homeowner was confident in Richie's proposal, so they went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team began the installation by cutting out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which acts as an underground drain, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team cut out the wall perimeter and installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent humidity and water moisture from invading the basement, and it covers big holes or divots in the wall. To complete the project, our crew covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

Basement Water Issues Solved In Pequot Lakes, MN

Linda, from Pequot Lakes, MN, was looking for some solutions for her home's basement space. The basement was experiencing water intrusion, so she decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Shane, headed out to the property.

Following a thorough inspection, Shane gave his recommendations to Linda, suggesting that she invest in our WaterGuard system as well as our SuperSump Plus. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. Linda agreed, and our crew got to work.

Our Foreman, Juan, and his crew began implementing our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The crew then broke out concrete to make a feed line. From there, our crew installed our SuperSump Plus Sump Pump to the feedline. Our crew filled the open gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home.

After all was said and done, Linda was very glad she made the decision to call American Waterworks and had her peace of mind restored.

Basement Leaking Water in Clearbrook, MN

After talking to a neighbor, they recommended calling us, American Waterworks. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate and we quickly sent our Design Specialist, Richie, to assess the condition of the basement. Richie diagnosed that a Waterguard and Feedline would need to be installed to drain the excess water. Then, the crew dug another small trench across the floor to insert the Feedline. After it was all in place, the crew covered the piping. Finally, the crew demolished the wall where the mold and rot were discovered and covered the walls in CleanSpace. The crew left the homeowners with peace of mind knowing their basement is waterproofed and prepared for future storms.
