An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by a professional, this system will lower the concentration of radon gas in interior areas to minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner agreed with Dave's recommendation but decided to wait until the levels returned to make a choice. 48 hours later, Dave was back at the home to read the results, which returned marginally higher than the recommended action levels, so Dave and the homeowner worked together to find the best day for an installation.
