Bob W. of Luana, IA had water leaking through the floor of his basement, causing him to worry about damage to property and his downstairs bathroom. He got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to his home, carefully inspected his water leaks, and drew up a solution that worked for him and his home repair needs. Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water leakage from basement walls. Next, our team broke out half of the wall around the entire basement wall perimeter and installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents the build-up of mold and mildew, covers any holes or divots, and serves as a protective blanket, while also saving money on energy bills. To complete the project, our team filled the open floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Next, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, followed by the discharge line. Our TripleSafe provides three layers of protection, solves all three water problems in one unit, and comes with a battery back-up. Our battery back-up keeps the system running in case of a power outage or failure. The purpose of the discharge line is to allow water to escape the home without invading the foundation wall. A homeowner in Arkansaw, WI, was worried their foundation was suffering after discovering the walls were damp. The WaterGuard properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home.
