Waterproofing and Wall Restoration in Stoddard, WI

Leo S. in Stoddard, WI had water leaking through his wood foundation into his finished basement. Unfortunately, the water had caused damaged to his drywall and flooring. He contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on TV, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to his home to provide him with a free estimate and unique waterproofing plan. He liked the thorough plan that Pete developed, so he scheduled the installation.

Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew removed the damaged portion of the drywall and then removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. They laid the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, so the water will be properly guided to the sump pump. Next, they filled back the gaps around the WaterGuard with rock and replaced the concrete. Then, they installed the EverLast half-wall restoration system. This wall system includes metal studs and an inorganic, mold-resistant wall product that replaces the bottom 32" of the drywall. This is a permanent solution for water-damaged dry wall! Leo’s peace of mind has been restored and he is enjoying a dry, healthier basement!

A homeowner in Stoddard, WI, noticed an odd noise from their basement. Unsure of the source, the homeowner knew they needed to take a closer look. The homeowner discovered the noises were coming from their sump pump. Concerned that their sump pump was in serious trouble, the homeowner began searching for a replacement. The homeowner looked into "best sump pump systems," and the homeowner came across one of our blogs highlighting our sump pump systems. After reading the blog, the homeowner knew we offered the best line of sump pumps in the area. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Michel, to the home to take a closer look. Once Michel arrived, he began by inspecting the struggling sump pump. After taking a closer look, Michel confirmed the sump pump required replacement. Additionally, Michel recommended installing several waterproofing products throughout the basement. After he completed the thorough inspection, Michel presented his solution to the homeowner. The homeowner knew this was their best option for their home, so they decided to go ahead with Michel's proposal. Next, Michel passed the proposal to our Logistics team to give the final stamp of approval. Our Logistics team finalized the project, then it was scheduled for a few weeks later. When the project date arrived, our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Kiko and his crew began by installing the WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to removing the old sump pump and installing the SuperSump+. Next, Kiko and his crew installed CleanSpace on the unfinished basement walls. After the CleanSpace was secured, the crew shifted their focus to installing the IceGuard on the exterior discharge line. As soon as all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. WaterGuard and TripleSafe Keep Galesville, WI Basement Dry

Kevin L. in Galesville, WI had dealt with a wet basement for the last 40 years, and he was finally tired of it. He did his research and learned that American Waterworks has been the leading waterproofing contractor in the region for the last 30 years. He met with one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, who evaluated the situation and designed a unique solution.

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Kevin’s basement by installing 160 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. Kevin is happy he found a permanent solution to protect his home.

Radon Gas Eliminated in La Crosse, WI

A homeowner from La Crosse, WI, had just learned that his neighbor had his home tested for radon gas. The homeowner knew very little about the dangers of radon gas but decided to find a radon specialist near La Crosse, WI. During his search, he decided to head to a home improvement store to test the levels of radon in his home himself. When he found our website, he was impressed with other radon system installations we had done in his area. He decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later our Design Specialist, Nate B, headed out to the home.

When Nate arrived, the homeowner informed him that he had tested his home and that the levels had come back higher than average. Nate then inspected the house and found the best place for a radon mitigation system. Nate explained that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. He went on to say that when installed by an experienced radon specialist, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health agencies. The homeowner liked Nate's suggestion and signed for the project on the spot.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Dakota M, made quick work of the installation. When he had finished, our customer was thrilled to know that the air circulating in his home was radon-free!
