Sinking Stoop Gets Fixed in Champlin, MN
A homeowner from Champlin, MN, had noticed that her front stoop and adjoining walkway were beginning to separate. Curious about what the cause could be, she decided to search for a company that might be able to shed some light on the issue. After seeing one of our print ads in a local shopper, she decided to give us a call and set up her FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our design specialist headed out to the home.
Once our Design Specialist completed his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendation. He informed her that concrete can sink for various reasons, such as soil over-saturation, drought times, or poor soil compaction before the slab was laid. He said that American Waterworks could fix the issue with our PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath concrete slabs, slowly filling the voids left by soil erosion, and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. He finished by explaining that our process is concluded by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete, preventing unwanted elements from getting under the slab. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work, and the project was scheduled for a few weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Dylan V, headed out to the home. He was able to complete the lift with no issues, and now our customer is thrilled to know that she no longer has to worry about sinking concrete!

Once Gary completed his thorough inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Gary informed him that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel. Gary went on to say that once the concrete had been lifted, he was recommending the use of our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, this product gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete and works to protect the vulnerable soil below, as it was designed to stand up against harsh weather conditions. The homeowner liked the sound of Gary's plan and scheduled the job for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Pat B, and his team effortlessly completed the lift, level, and seal. Now, our customer can put his home on the market knowing his concrete is in tip-top shape!
