Sinking Walkway Gets Saved in Rochester, MN

A Rochester, MN, homeowner was keeping an eye on her concrete walkway. Over the years, it had slowly been sinking, pulling away from the front concrete step leading towards the door, and creating a nasty trip hazard. She didn't want anyone to take an unnecessary tumble, so she decided to search for concrete repair Minnesota, and eventually found us. She signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Ross J, one of our concrete Design Specialists, headed out to the home.

Once Ross finished his inspection, he informed the homeowner that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel. He explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It works to fill voids created by soil erosion, and in the process, slowly lifts concrete back to it's desired location. Ross then said that, once the slab had been lifted, he wanted to install our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete, and works to protect the vulnerable soil below. The homeowner was thrilled with Ross's non-invasive plan, and scheduled the job for several weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Sam, and his team completed the lift and seal with no complications. Now, our customer can enjoy her front walkway knowing her concrete will stay put!

Ross took his time completing his inspection, and when he completed it, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Ross began by saying that there are various reasons why concrete can sink, but American Waterworks could fix the problem using our PolyLevel injection. PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sunken surfaces. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion and, in the process, lifts the sunken concrete back to its desired location.  The homeowner agreed and the job was scheduled for several weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Pat B, led his team through a flawless lift. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his sunken concrete issues have been handled!

Sinking Driveway Lifted with PolyLevel in Rochester, MN

A homeowner in Rochester, MN, noticed that his settling concrete driveway had caused bumps to form in some areas. Frustrated when he had to drive over them, he decided to have the issue addressed by looking for concrete lifting in the area. The homeowner found us and, after looking into our company, he contacted our Appointment Center to schedule his FREE estimate.

In about a week, our Design Specialist, Nate B., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, Nate explained to the homeowner that the likely reason their concrete is sinking is due to soil compaction. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, it causes the soil to compact and settle beneath the concrete. As this happens, the concrete slab would move down with it. To fix this issue, Nate recommended PolyLevel, our high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete. Its expanding properties would compact the soil and effectively lift the slab without the trouble of mudjacking or complete replacement. After looking over Nate's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to his recommendations.

In about two weeks, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes into the slabs. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes. Lastly, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
