The owners of this boathouse in Barnes, WI noticed that it was sinking into the lake bed. The boathouse was grandfathered in, and they wanted to make sure that it could be passed down to future generations. Design Specialist James Miller met the owners at their property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the foundation issues. After a thorough inspection, James recommended our SmartJack® supports and helical piering systems.

Foreman Osia Williams led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed 6 helical piers and 2 SmartJack® supports with the main steel beam to permanently stabilize the boathouse.

Now that the boathouse has been permanently stabilized, the owners will be able to pass it down to future generations without worrying about it sinking into the lake.
