This log construction cabin has been in the family since it was first built. Changes in the soil with freezing and thawing throughout the years have caused significant settling in the structure. The family was concerned about the health of the cabin and wanted a permanent solution in protecting it in years to come.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the cabin and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the cabin's foundation repair work. After inspecting the crawl space, and measuring the structure's settlement, he crafted a plan that would restore the cabin's structural integrity.
DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew installed 10 push piers around the perimeter, completing a lift procedure of the sinking structure. They also added supplemental beams and a SmartJack® System to support the floor joists beneath the cabin.

The boathouse was grandfathered in, and they wanted to make sure that it could be passed down to future generations. They reached out to DBS after noticing signs promoting our foundation stabilization services around town.
Design Specialist James Miller met the owners at their property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the foundation issues. After a thorough inspection, James recommended our SmartJack® supports and helical piering systems.
Foreman Osia Williams led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed 6 helical piers and 2 SmartJack® supports with the main steel beam to permanently stabilize the boathouse.
