Leaky Windows Repair in Maineville, Ohio
This homeowner had two egress windows installed by another company in their basement, and these windows began to leak shortly after they were installed, (as evidence by the towels all over the floor in the before picture.) The dry wall became damaged and musty, so we suggested that we install a drainage system and we replace the wet drywall with our EverLast moisture proof panels. We first started by carefully cutting the drywall so we could install our drainage system. Our drainage system included of two WellDuct drains in the two egress windows, WaterGuard subfloor drains, and a SuperSump sump pump attached with our UltraSump battery backup system. This system will make sure water doesn't build up near the leaky windows. We then replaced the drywall we took out with our EverLast wall panels. Our EverLast wall panels are made of a vinyl material, and won't grow mold or get damaged from moisture. They also tuck into the drainage system, and they look great next to any type of wall. This job teaches a valuable lesson, if you are going to get egress windows installed, make sure its a company who understands how waterproofing works like us. Be sure to read the attached case study at the bottom to learn about another similar job that almost led to devastating consequences.
Wet Basement Repair in Maineville, Ohio
This poured foundation basement in Maineville, OH, was dealing with leaks and bowed walls. To address the moisture, we installed our WaterGuard subfloor drainage system around the perimeter, connecting it to a sump pump to channel water out of the basement. The walls were then covered with BrightWall panels, which direct leaks into the drainage system and resist mold thanks to their inorganic material. To stabilize the bowed walls, we installed zinc-coated steel PowerBraces, designed to distribute the wall’s weight evenly across the floor joists and concrete, and in some cases, straighten the walls. The end result is a dry, clean, and structurally sound basement the homeowners can trust.
Basement Wall Repair in Milford, Ohio
This basement in Milford, OH, had a very musty smell, which led the homeowners to give us a call to locate the cause of the must. Our Inspector, Steve, used his nose and his wits to find the spot in the drywall that was leaking bad. After Steve opened up the drywall, he found mold, rot, and worst of all, signs of bowing wall movement. Steve suggested we repair this wall by tearing out the moldy drywall and studs, waterproof the wall with our WaterGuard subfloor drains, stabilize the wall with our PowerBrace steel beam system, and refinish the look with our moisture proof BriteWall panels! This foundation is now dry, safe, and secured. Click here to read what the customer had to say about our crew.
