Our Inspector, Steve, used his nose and his wits to find the spot in the drywall that was leaking bad. After Steve opened up the drywall, he found mold, rot, and worst of all, signs of bowing wall movement. Steve suggested we repair this wall by tearing out the moldy drywall and studs, waterproof the wall with our WaterGuard subfloor drains, stabilize the wall with our PowerBrace steel beam system, and refinish the look with our moisture proof BriteWall panels! This home had an old sump pump that needed replacing. We replaced it with a SuperSump Plus sump pump with an UltraSump 4 battery backup. 

We waterproofed this Lebanon, Ohio basement with a reliable perimeter drainage system that collects water and channels it to a high-performance sump pump. The effects of external hydrostatic pressure had taken a toll on this basement in Piqua, OH. All four of the block walls in this basement all looked like the attached before photo. The existing exterior waterproofing system had failed and the loose soil around the home, (from when the soil was first excavated to make room for the home) were two reasons why the water table was so high.
