CrawlSpace Waterproofing & Encapsulation Systems in Aurora, Indiana
A nasty crawlspace formed by dirt, moisture, and bugs can lead to poor living conditions for the inhabitants living above the crawlspace. In order to encapsulate and reduce the risk of the crawlspace flooding we installed a lot. First we installed a vapor barrier by placing CleanSpace and drainage matting over the walls and floors. We then installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, a SmartPump sump pump on one side of the large crawlspace, and a UltraSump 4 sump pump on the other side. We topped it off with SilverGlo insulation panels, which will help save big money on energy bills.
Crawl Space Vapor Barrier Installed in Aurora, Indiana
Our inspector went out to this crawl space in Aurora, IND, to give the owners of the crawl space a free estimate to encapsulate it. When our inspector went to get humidity readings in the space, the relative humidity read at 50.3%, which is actually pretty good, (mold begins to grow at 60%). However, this reading was taken early in April where the temperature outside was only 52 degrees F, and as we all know, when the summer heat hits, RH's in crawl spaces rise drastically. The homeowner wanted us to encapsulate it before the summer, so we did just that. By covering the space with our durable, moisture-proof, antimicrobial CleanSpace liner, the crawl space was ready for the summer. (Not pictured is the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier we also installed.)
