The effects of external hydrostatic pressure had taken a toll on this basement in Piqua, OH. All four of the block walls in this basement all looked like the attached before photo. Wet puddles, bowing wall cracks, stains, and musty smells were all effects from massive amounts of built up water in the soil around the foundation. The existing exterior waterproofing system had failed and the loose soil around the home, (from when the soil was first excavated to make room for the home) were two reasons why the water table was so high. We repaired all four walls in the basement by installing carefully designed PowerBraces, which stabilized the foundation. We then waterproofed with our patented interior-perimeter system with our WaterGuard subfloor drains and our TripleSafe sump pump.
