Stabilizing a bowing block wall in St. Catharines, On

Mackenzie has a home in St. Catharines with a block foundation. the foundation wall is being waterproofed but before we do that, we have to address the bowing wall. 

Omni basement Systems installed the Carbon Armor system from Supportworks. Carbon Armor is made up of two parts. A ArmorLock stap of carbon fiber which is attache by steel clip to the wall and the rim joist to prevent the wall from tipping and then a 7" wide strip of Carbon Fiber is adhered to the Block wall from top to bottom of the block foundation. The carbon Fiber staps are 20 times stronger than steel steel strapping. 

Floor support in a Ridgeway, On crawlspace

Derek has a crawlspace in Ridgeway, ON. The floor is soft in places and un-level as well. Omni Basement Systems installed the galvanized Smartjacks and a supplemental beam to support the floor. The current supports were merely blocks that had been shimmed a multiple of times. 

Wall support in Niagara Falls, ON

Bob has a house in  Niagara Falls, ON, with a large crack in the poured concrete foundation. The crack's size and angle determined that the wall was tipping in and needed to be supported. Along with waterproofing, Omni Basement Systems installed PowerBraces to support the wall. PowerBraces are fully galvanized "I" beams bolted to the footing and then a specially designed bracket by Supportworks connects it to the floor joist system. A large adjustment bolt can be used to put a bowing or tipping wall back in place over time. 

Supporting a crack in a foundation in Niagara Falls, On

Scott is a repeat customer of omni Basement Systems and they found a crack in the foundation wall. Omni Basement Systems stabilized the foundation by adding Carbon Armor. Carbon Armor is a 7" wide strip of Carbon fiber that is epoxied to the wall. This is 20 times stronger than steel and is easier to work with. 

Supporting a bowing wall with Carbon Fiber in Stevensville, ON

Lynn has inherited her fathers home and she found out that there is multiple foundations issues. One of the issues is bowing walls from expansive soils. There are multiple cracks in the wall. Omni Basement Systems is adhering 7" wide carbon fiber to the wall. The system is call Carbon Armor because it protects your wall from bowing any further. To protect the strengthen wall from tipping in, We install a carbon fiber strap to the joist header.
