Retaining Wall Stabilization, Mississauga, ON

Foundation Settling Causing Damage to Whole Home in Toronto, ON

A home in Toronto, Ontario had a problem in the basement along the back wall and corner of the home. If the foundation was settling and it would cause damage to the upper floors of the house and could become structurally unstable. The homeowner noticed a step cracking in the block foundation wall which was the result of the foundation settling. The foundation could become unstable which would damage the upper floor finishing and also could adversely affect the value of the home should they decided to sell.

The customer called Foundation Supportworks to come in and fix the problem. Ron Monk explained everything that would be done to fix the home. Shane O’Rourke and his team came in and used Push Pier Vertical Assembly. The Foundation Supportworks push pier assembly installation is complete with a heavy bracket connected at the bottom of the foundation. The pier pushes into the ground until the equipment measure that it has hit solid bedrock. At that time the weight of the home is transferred to the pier and off the failing soils. The customer was satisfied because of the stabilization to the house and damage prevention for the house

Cracked Concrete Deck Repair in Oshawa, ON

A customer had issues with a settled and cracked concrete pool deck. After contacting our company, our team injected our PolyLevel® underneath the slab. They began by drilling small dime-sized holes through the concrete slab and inserting the polyurethane foam. It follows the path of least resistance, pushes down loose soil underneath, fills the voids and makes the concrete level again. This process helps to protect the entire area against any future settlement.

Complete Structural Foundation Repair to Home in Markham, ON

This Markham, ON home, was built over a stream, and over the years the house had begun to sink. The basement floor had already sunk seven inches. Thanks to innovative products such as Push Piers and Helical Piers we were able to completely rebuild the foundation of this customer's home. 

Outside Bowing Wall Repair in Bolton, ON

A home in Bolton, Ontario had a problem with the rear basement wall. The wall had a large horizontal crack, and it was beginning to bow inwards also causing water to leak in. The client was concerned about the structural integrity of the wall and did not want the problem to get worse. The continued bowing of the wall could lead to it collapsing into the basement. The secondary concern was the effect it could have on the resale value should the home be sold.

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke to Ron Monk, our sales rep. He explained what he needed and soon after, Don Clarke and the Foundation Supportworks team came in to fix the problem. They used GeoLock™ Wall anchors with Liquid Rubber on the exterior. GeoLock Wall Anchors w used which first stabilized the wall to prevent further bowing and secondly allowed for the wall to straighten Liquid Rubber was applied to the exterior to seal the wall. They installed Anchors in the yard about 12 feet from the house, and the anchor rods fastened to them. The client was relieved to know that further and costly damage to the home was averted and it came with a transferable warranty.
