Bowing Wall Repair in Glen Huron, ON

A homeowner reached out to our company to repair their basement. Our team went to the home and evaluated the situation. After reviewing the plan with the owner, the foremen installed a full-perimeter drainage system. Before any work was started on the basement they realized that the cottage needed a lot more work. The foundation in the basement had begun to shift causing the back wall to bow inward and the adjacent floor to sink in. The wall had shifted one and a half inches and the floor had sunk approximately 6 inches below the initial surface.

The groundwater seepage needed to be controlled, along with reducing the amount of moisture settling onto the floor. They needed to permanently stabilize the foundation wall and level out the floor. In order to control the groundwater seepage, a WaterGuard® and SuperSump® System was installed in the home. The team also installed a ThermalDry® Wall Membrane along the foundation of the basement in order to prevent any future moisture or leaks from entering and direct the water into the WaterGuard® System. To repair the rear bowing wall, a PowerBrace™ was fastened to the foundation which readjusts its position. The project was finished by injecting a PolyLevel® Foam underneath the sunken slab that allows the foam to bring it to the appropriate height and level.

The homeowner appreciated the team’s hard work and took the time out of his day to write an e-mail to the company and crew thanking them for the wonderful work they had done. The customer was then able to continue on with finishing his basement without any worrying about future problems.

Cracked Concrete Deck Repair in Oshawa, ON

A customer had issues with a settled and cracked concrete pool deck. After contacting our company, our team injected our PolyLevel® underneath the slab. They began by drilling small dime-sized holes through the concrete slab and inserting the polyurethane foam. It follows the path of least resistance, pushes down loose soil underneath, fills the voids and makes the concrete level again. This process helps to protect the entire area against any future settlement.
