Sinking Concrete Slopes Basement Floor in Brampton, Ontario
Sometimes things go wrong in our homes without us even noticing. There are so many different factors at play that something could be behind a wall or floor for years before you catch it.
A couple in Brampton, Ontario, noticed it felt like they were walking downhill when they were in their basement. They had recently renovated the space and, during the reno, noticed how sloped the basement floor was. Their fireplace was even sitting a few inches higher than the floor.
They were terrified that the entire floor would need to be removed but were relieved after meeting with Project Manager Paul Mendell. Paul showed them how we could lift the floor, and a date was set for the repair to take place.
Foreman Bill McKeown has dealt with many situations just like this one. He injected our PolyLevel® polyurethane throughout the floor, slowly lifting it back to the wall. Once finished, he patched the injection holes with fresh concrete.
The customer loves how level their basement floor is now. Their fireplace is back to where it should be, and they saved thousands not having to excavate the basement floor.

Sinking Porch had Water Entering Foundation, Brampton, ON
This home in Brampton, Ontario, had a front walkway sinking and sloping toward the home's foundation. The homeowners were concerned that water would attack the foundation on rainy days and result in more significant issues. On a regular day basis, the step up onto the staircase is now more prominent than normal. Since there was so much sinking, they added another temporary step until they found our team. Our Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos, visited the home to investigate the issue further. He noticed that the steps were affected, and the porch was suffering from foundation exposure, too. The system Danny recommended was our PolyLevel® which lifts concrete back to its original height using a high-density polyurethane. PolyLevel® is an excellent solution since it is quick-curing, permanent, cost-effective, and hydrophobic. Once everything was mapped out for production, our Installation Specialists, started the leveling. The homeowners stood by to see the process unfold and were ecstatic to see the changes happen right before their eyes. The approach was to fill all the voids that could allow water to impact the foundation and then lift the concrete up, leaving a slope so water could slide away from the home.
Alarming Amount of Sinking on Front Steps in Brampton, ON
In Brampton, Ontario, this home's front steps had started to sink over time, making it very hard to navigate for the homeowners. They happened to be elderly, and with the amount of sinking occurring, the steps into the home were almost unusable. They wanted to lift and support their concrete without having to remove them, so they found Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our team of experts specializes in raising and leveling concrete, and this home in Brampton is something we have seen before. Our Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos, went to the home for a further look. He had noticed that the steps were sloping toward the concrete, which is excellent for water running off, but during the winter, when it all freezes, these stairs will become a slippery slide. Another thing that he noted on his walkthrough was that when the steps were sinking, it opened up the gap underneath, which can be very dangerous in the long run, as water can impede and result in more sinking or collapse of the rest of the steps. Danny ensured the homeowners that they were in good hands by showing them our PolyLevel® Injection System. This high-density polyurethane is able to fill any void underneath the concrete and push it back up to its original height with ease. Once the polyurethane transforms from liquid to solid, nothing pushes it back down. The homeowners were relieved by the news that their walkways would be saved and said, "Let's do it!" with a big grin. Our Installation Specialists went to work to save this home. They started off by drilling small dime-sized holes into the points of concern. From there, Russell hammered in injection caps to hold our system in place when leveling. The duo began the leveling process, and you can see the concrete level itself in front of your eyes. From uneven and hazardous to a transformed level walkway, the results were amazing.
Front Walkway Sinking. Homeowners Started to Worry, Brampton ON
A front walkway in Brampton, Ontario had started to sink in many directions, but primarily toward the home. Rainwater was the issue since it would pool up against the house and eat away at the foundation. The homeowners were worried that a more significant problem would transpire if this was not resolved, so they contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling for a professional solution. They've dealt with concrete issues and had to get half of their walkway re-done from cracking and falling apart. Since everything was pristine, minus the sinking, leveling was the best solution rather than replacing it.
Our Project Manager, Paul Mendell, came to the home to recommend products that will level the concrete and protect the house. He suggested our PolyLevel® injection system that will lift the concrete from underneath and angle it so water slopes away from home. The second system Paul mentioned was our NexusPro® sealant, which will keep all water away from entering the joints so the PolyLevel® is protected. The wife explained that she was thankful for finding our team. She did not want to replace the concrete since they'd invested more than enough money on the newer addition; Paul's solution changed her perspective, knowing she would be in good hands. After he created his plan and submitted it to our team, our installation crew headed over to save this walkway. Installation Foreman Bill McKeown and Specialist Nestor Cabrera transformed this walkway from a sinking nightmare to a functional walkway again.
