Saying No to Sidewalk Cracks in Mississauga, Ontario

Cracks in walkways and sidewalks are not only visually unappealing, but they can be an indication of a much larger issue that is causing damage to the structure of the building. Water can seep down these cracks into the foundation of a home, forever shifting, heaving and cracking the concrete. Although happening slowly over the years, the cost of not fixing a problem like this one can be almost unfathomable to a homeowner. One customer in Mississauga wasn't going to wait until it was too late and decided to get their crack sealed and walkway repaired the right way with Canadian Concrete Leveling.

The customer met with Project Manager Danny Dos Santos, who quickly diagnosed the concerns of the homeowner. He came up with a custom solution guaranteed to eliminate their present issue and any fear or worry they may have had.

Foreman Kyle McKeown first levelled out the concrete using our patented PolyLevel® process by injecting high-density polyurethane into the concrete. Once the lift was completed and the concrete was level and set, Kyle used NexusPro® to seal any cracks off to the elements and colour match the sealant with the walkway. In the end, the walkway looked brand new. The customer is very relieved they no longer need to worry about long-term damage and repair costs to their home.

Neighbourhood Recommendation Leads to Level Concrete, Mississauga, ON

Sometimes, it can take a little bit of inspiration to get started on a renovation. Maybe it’s the new addition you saw down the road, or your neighbours could have put in a new pool. Whatever it is, you realize it’s your turn next.

In Mississauga, Ontario, a customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after seeing our system in action at his neighbour’s house. He had his own sinking concrete at the corner of his driveway and backyard patio.

Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the homeowner and inspected the property. The customer already saw how our system worked, but Paul walked him through the process again.

Our installation team used our PolyLevel® System to inject high-density polyurethane beneath the concrete slabs. Once the slabs were back to grade, the crew patched the injection holes and informed the customer that we had repaired his sinking concrete. The homeowner was thrilled with the work done by the CCL team. He’s thankful he lucked out and was home when his neighbours had their concrete repaired – he's happy to recommend CCL to friends and family.

Sinking Walkway Cracks Concrete in Mississauga, Ontario

When concrete deals with pressure, it typically cracks. This can happen for a number of reasons, but a common one is when the concrete sinks.

In Mississauga, Ontario, a customer was tired of dealing with cracked and uneven concrete outside of her home. The problem was getting worse each year, so she decided to call Canadian Concrete Leveling.

Project Manager Joe McColl met with the homeowner and inspected her walkway. Joe showed her our solution, and she was happy to hear ripping out the concrete wasn’t involved.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used our PolyLevel® system to lift and level the concrete. A high-density polyurethane was injected beneath the slab, compressing the fill soils while lifting the concrete. This process can be installed in a matter of hours and takes only 15 minutes to cure.

With her concrete repaired and tripping hazards removed, the homeowner is very happy. She is pleased with the work done and loves how efficient and thorough Bill was with his work.

Risk of Water Seepage from Sinking Garage Floor in Mississauga, Ontario

Everything in our home is connected, even if it doesn’t seem like it. What happens to our roof affects the yard, and what happens upstairs can have an impact downstairs.

In Mississauga, Ontario, a couple noticed one corner of their garage floor was at a different height from the rest of the space. They were still able to use the parking area, but they were concerned about water seeping down to their foundation.

After seeing one of our bus shelter ads, the homeowners decided to give us a call and met with Project Manager Joe McColl. Joe explained why concrete fails, and showed them how our PolyLevel® System could correct it.

Foreman Bill McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the garage floor. He used these holes as injection ports for our high-density polyurethane, PolyLevel®. Once injected, the solution expands, lifting the concrete and compressing soils below. This process brings the floor back to an even grade while stabilizing the ground below. Once the repair was complete, Bill patched the holes with fresh concrete.

The couple is happy that their garage is repaired. They don’t need to worry about water seepage into their basement, and they were thrilled that the work only took a matter of hours.

Back Patio and Staircase Needs Love, Mississauga ON

In Mississauga, Ontario, a back patio and staircase had experienced significant settling to the point of not only revealing tripping hazards but exposing the home's foundation. The homeowners wanted to save the concrete without having to replace it or even pour more concrete on top. Since the slabs were in good condition, they searched for a company that could lift the concrete non-invasively, cost-effectively, and permanently.

After giving us a shout, an appointment was made with our Project Manager. He arrived at the home to provide an honest, and complete quote to the homeowners. They were impressed at how simple the project seemed to be and how the installation would not interrupt family members coming and going to the house. When work began, our Installation Specialist started by drilling dime-sized holes in the lowest concrete points where it was sinking the most. From there, he injected the slabs with our PolyLevel®, which fills voids under the concrete lifting it back to its original height. Once the leveling was done, it was time to seal the joints with our NexusPro® sealant – a material that is anti-cracking, chemical resistant, and permanent. The job took less than an hour, and the results were immaculate.
