In Mississauga, Ontario, a customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after growing concerned about their back step. The entire step had settled over the last year, creating a serious tripping hazard. Water was also an issue, pooling near the steps and freezing in the winter.

Project Manager Kyle O’Brien met with the homeowner and inspected his back patio. The customer thought he would need to remove and redo the steps when Kyle first arrived. After hearing about our PolyLevel® System, the customer’s eyes lit up. He was thrilled to find a non-invasive solution that could be done in a day’s work.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used our high-density polyurethane injections, PolyLevel®, to lift the step back to a level and safe grade. As our system is injected, it expands, raising the concrete and compressing any fill soils below.

The customer is relieved that his concrete is repaired. He’s happy it was a “quick but long-term fix” and has peace of mind knowing his investment is protected.

The main walkway for an apartment in Mississauga, Ontario had many trip hazards from the front of the building to the roadway. Multiple concrete slabs were sinking. Many other slabs were affected by tree roots growing under the concrete. The owner of the building wanted to get the walkway repaired as quickly as possible as it was becoming a very serious safety risk for everyone.

The owner contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling and our Project Lead suggested our PolyLevel Injection System. Billy McKeown and our installation team injected polyurethane through dime-sized holes made in the concrete to fill the voids under the slabs. The walkways were successfully lifted, leveled and stabilized. 

The owner was very happy with how quickly and effectively our team was able to complete the job. All of the trip hazards were fixed along the walkway.

A customer in Mississauga, Ontario, has a meticulously manicured front yard. He adores his front garden and had a company pour a concrete walkway to complement it. Foreman Bill McKeown used our PolyLevel® System to lift and level the concrete. PolyLevel® is injected through dime-sized holes where it expands beneath the slabs. Bill carefully lifted the walkway and steps, removing any tripping hazards and improving the gardens' look.

The customer feels excellent knowing he made the right choice. His garden is back up to his standards, and the front of his home is safe again.

Why does concrete settle? It can happen from poor soil conditions. As the concrete compresses against the ground, it loosens the soil and over time the weight of the concrete forces it to settle. To permanently fix this issue our team at Canadian Concrete Leveling uses Polyurethane that compacts and compresses the loose soil under the slab and lifts, levels and stabilizes the concrete.
