NexusPro® and PolyLevel® Fix Concrete Patio Slabs, Kitchener, On
Entertaining is what this homeowner in Kitchener, Ontario, loves to do. Unfortunately, entertaining outside became an issue with the uneven concrete patio slabs. The slabs receded by two inches compared to the front, which caused two significant problems. One was that family and friends fell from tripping on the slabs, and the second was that the foundation was exposed on the side of the house, causing water to leak into the home. Canadian Concrete Leveling’s Project Manager Andy Moncrieff arrived and drafted a plan to level out the slabs and solve both problems. On a later day, the installation team, Kyle and Aidan McKeown used PolyLevel® injections to help lift the concrete two inches to match the rest, then sealed the joints permanently with NexusPro®. The homeowner was thrilled that the tripping hazards were left at bay, and the foundation was saved! Job well done.
Repaired Walkway Stopped Water Flowing to Home's Foundation, Kitchener, ON
A walkway located beside a garage in Kitchener, ON, had sinking concrete slabs that were creating several trip hazards. A few of the slabs slanted towards the foundation making it easy for water to flow towards the home’s foundation. Since the homeowners did not want to give water a chance to leak into their basement, they knew they needed a practical solution as soon as possible.
They discovered that Canadian Concrete Leveling provides a quick, clean and permanent solution to sinking concrete so they gave the office a call. Our experienced Project Manager met with the homeowners to inspect the walkway issues. He reassured the homeowners that we could fix the slabs with our PolyLevel® Injection System. Compared to conventional concrete lifting methods, PolyLevel® is long-lasting, and doesn’t add additional weight to the soil. It can be installed in less time than other methods. He also recommended our NexusPro® sealant to repair and seal cracks that he found in a few of the concrete pieces.
Our Installation Supervisor and Installation Specialist levelled one slab at a time making sure to eliminate the trip hazards. Next, the crew sealed the cracks with our highly durable NexusPro® Sealant. NexusPro® is waterproof, chemical-resistant, and stops water from trickling through cracks in the concrete and disturbing the soil underneath.
The homeowners were thrilled with the results and how quickly the installation was completed – just a matter of a few hours. They definitely would recommend our PolyLevel® system and NexusPro® sealant to their neighbours dealing with sinking concrete.
Hazardous Walkway and Garage Threshold, Kitchener, ON
In Kitchener, Ontario, this home had a driveway composed of large sinking concrete slabs, revealing various tripping hazards towards the front walkway and garage. The homeowners often entertain and would like to eliminate all tripping risks and restrictions when visiting the home. Canadian Concrete Leveling was called, and our Project Manager Andy Moncrieff arrived at the house to help resolve this issue. PolyLevel® injections would have to be applied to lift the concrete permanently. The owners were thrilled that the process would only take under an hour! The following day came and our installation team, Kyle McKeown and Russell, started with the five dime-sized injections. The concrete slabs lifted within seconds and only took fifteen minutes to cure. The homeowners were excited to finally have guests over without them potentially hurting themselves coming in and out of the house.
PolyLevel® Around Pool Deck, Kitchener, ON
A home in Kitchener, Ontario, had a beautiful pool deck that was, unfortunately, caving outward. This caused cracks to form between the pool and the pool deck, compromising the pool wall integrity. Swimming pools are already hard to maintain and adding an extra element that may hurt the pool isn't ideal. The homeowners also noticed that the shifted concrete pool deck revealed numerous tripping hazards for not only their family but when they also entertained guests. They loved the idea of keeping the concrete slabs around the pool without replacing them. The pool deck needed a little lift in the right direction. Thankfully, Canadian Concrete Leveling can do precisely that.
After the homeowners set up an appointment with our call centre, our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, arrived on-site to provide the owners with a detailed quote. Once our installation team arrived, Kyle McKeown and JP Basto started the leveling treatment. At Canadian Concrete Leveling, we steer away from your average concrete lifting techniques and use our high-density polyurethane injection method to lift the concrete slabs permanently. Polyurethane, used in our PolyLevel® system, quickly expands, is durable, less invasive, and immediately cures. With the injections being done around the whole perimeter of the pool and curing within minutes, the tripping hazards and cracks were removed entirely!
Open Up To The World in Cambridge, Ontario
As the world starts opening again post the pandemic, we are more than inclined to greet and host all our distanced friends and family. But, unfortunately, for most if not all of us, we have been virtually isolated from any social event, let alone hosting one. With almost two years of absent thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties and events, people worldwide anxiously crave closeness, community and company. With Winter approaching faster than ever and the pandemic almost behind us, now is the period to make up for the lost time.
The last thing anyone wants to be responsible for is the unnecessary injury of their friends and family. An uneven walkway can always pose a severe risk to anyone using it, even for the youngest and healthiest members of one's family. But the risk of tripping gets exponentially higher during the Winter months with the introduction of low light conditions, ice, snow and sleet. Uneven, icy and slippery walkways can be a recipe for disaster. Not only is the safety and well-being of your loved ones at risk, but anyone also entering your property, say a salesperson or girl scout that sustains an injury, can make you, the homeowner, financially responsible. These and many more reasons are why Canadian Concrete Leveling is on a mission to eradicate unnecessary injury resulting from uneven concrete. We are always committed to keeping your family safe for years to come.
The emergence of Winter also comes with it the delights of the holiday season. It is a season of joy, love and friendship. The last thing it should be associated with is danger. This customer and their entire family in Cambridge, Ontario, we're committed to finding an economical and long-lasting solution to their dangerous uneven walkway. They reached out to Andy Moncrieff, Project Manager at Canadian Concrete Leveling for our long-proven track record of providing peace of mind to homeowners. Foreman Kyle McKeown installed the patented PolyLevel® technology to fill the gaps underneath the concrete slabs, raising them to perfectly level. PolyLevel® is designed to withstand for years in the harshest of conditions and will make an unsafe walkway safe in very little time. Have a hazardous walkway? We can help.
