IceGuard in Holt, MI

The homeowners had water leaking into their basment during the winter months. They had an existing sump pump that worked well during the spring and fall, but for some reason during the winter months they noticed water getting in the basement area.

Our professional team knew the solution for these homeowners was our IceGuard system. The IceGuard system is attached to the sump pump discharge line on the outside of the home. The IceGuard allows water to escape from the sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. What makes IceGuard even better is when the pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along its normal route, and no water will escape from the IceGuard!

Thannks to IceGuard the homeowners basement is now dry all year round!

FlexiSpan in Holt, MI

The homeowners had a crack going down the length of their wall. To make matters worse water was starting to seep through the crack causing damage to their walls.

The first reaction to fixing a cracked wall is usually an application of patching mortar or masonaty sealant. Unfortunately, those solutions rarely work because of poor adhension to the masonary or a slight movement along the crack that breaks the seal. These problems needed to be avoided, so our professional team installed the FlexiSpan crack repair system. The FlexiSpan system is a three part project that begins with the application of a flexible sealant along the crack. Next, a strip of flexible and porous foam is installed over the crack. Finally, an impermeable membrane is adhered to the wall on both sides of the foam strip. This fail-safe treatment allows any future seepage of water through the crack to move invisibly down the wall and into the basement’s perimeter drainage system. Unlike sealant or mortar-based crack repair, the FlexiSpan system is not adversely affected by hydrostatic pressure or slight movement in the basement wall. It works under all conditions.

Waterproofing a Holt, MI Basement

Cynthia had moved some furniture in the basement when she found wet carpet. The basement had a sump pump but it was all the way on the other side of the basement so it was not very effective in getting rid of the water that was seeping in. First, we installed the WaterGuard system which consists of a French drain that collects the water as is seeps into the basement and drains it to the sump pump. We then installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump which provides three levels of protection in case of a pump failure or a power outage. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier which keeps dry air circulating throughout the space to dry out your basement. It's small size its small size makes it easy to keep in the basement since it won't take up much space!

Leaky Basement Solutions in Holt, MI

Chris noticed some wet carpet in his basement so he lifted it up and tore some dry wall away to see where the problem was. The water was coming in from the wall and he needed a fix for that since the basement is partially finished and the water could do more damage. We installed the WaterGuard system to keep the water out of the basement. It collects the water and drains it to the sump pump. We also installed the CleanSpace Wall System that keeps water vapor from passing through your foundation walls. With anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in, no mold or mildew will grow on the CleanSpace!
