Basement Waterproofing in Whipholt, MN
A company building in Whipholt, MN had water leaking into their basement, and their walls were damp after heavy rains. They got in contact with American Waterworks for our basement waterproofing systems. Our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson, went to the building for a FREE Estimate and carefully inspected the basement. After a thorough diagnosis, Chad proposed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier and our WaterGuard Drainage System. The company owner was confident in our products and their warranties, so they signed the contract, wrote out a deposit check, and scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which serves as an underground drain, collects water seepage from basement walls, and prevents water or mud clogs. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which is made to prevent mold and humidity, give the basement a neat and clean appearance, and saves money on energy costs. To complete the project, our team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it, ensuring the basement looked neater than when they found it.

Damp, Cracked Basement Gets Refreshed In Brandon, MN
John, a homeowner in Brandon, MN, was concerned about the state of his basement. He noticed that his floors had hairline cracks, and water was also entering the basement in the room's corners. He wanted to address the problem thoroughly and effectively, so he called American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Shane, went to the property, did a complete evaluation, and gave John his recommendations. Once approved, our team was ready to get to work.
Our Foreman, Juan, and his production crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter and forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. They also installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump, there is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home. The battery will keep the pumps draining any excess water build-up. To complete the WaterGuard project, Juan and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
The team then proceeded to install the CleanSpace wall System around the perimeter of the basement. Our CleanSpace Wall System is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners, so it never falls. It also prevents humidity from invading the walls and gives the basement a clean and bright appearance, with a 25-year warranty.
John was delighted with the outcome and glad he decided to work with American Waterworks.
