Cracked Foundation Wall Stabilized in Delavan, MN

Matt H. in Delavan, MN had multiple cracked walls in his basement. One of the walls was severely bowing inward and the other had a large stair step-like crack in the wall that had gotten worse over time. A friend recommended that he contact American Waterworks to help solve his foundation problems, so he gave us a call for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, went to his home to inspect his foundation and design a solution. Jeremy assured Matt that we could permanently repair his foundation by installing 8 wall anchors. Matt was pleased to hear this, so he scheduled the installation.

Our production team drilled small holes through the brick walls and into the soil surrounding the home. Then, they inserted long metal rods into the holes and they secured each end of the rods with anchor plates. Once they tightened the anchors, Matt was able to see a dramatic improvement in the stability of his walls. The wall anchors can continue to be tightened over time to gradually straighten the wall back to its original position. Since our anchors are backed by a lifetime warranty, Matt is confident that he chose the best long-term solution to protect his home.

Basement Walls Reinforced In Climax, MN

Andrea from Climax, MN, contacted us when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow inward, showing signs of failing. Andrea was afraid that if left unresolved, she would risk compromising the home's structural integrity. She called American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property.

Ian recommended that Andrea invest in our PowerBrace Wall System and GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue.

Once approved, our Foreman and his crew got to work. First, 12 GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed; this innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. Our Foreman explained to Andrea that the anchors can be tightened over time. Then, the team got to work strategically placing PowerBraces around the basement, inserting 12 PowerBraces to stabilize the wall further. These were also installed with WaterGuard brackets for futureproofing. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the home's support beams and the concrete on which the house lies.

Andrea's peace of mind was restored, and she was glad she trusted our team to ensure that her basement walls were no longer an issue.

Wall Anchors Support Garage in Stewart, MN

Lori N. of Stewart, MN had bowing walls on the side of her garage, causing her landscaping to be uneven. She called American Waterworks to schedule a Free Estimate. We sent out our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, to her home to inspect the issue and come up with a solution. After a detailed inspection, Lori was comfortable with Shane’s proposal so she set up an installation date.

Our foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew began the installation by digging six holes around the back and side of the garage and six holes in the garage concrete floor, parallel to the holes outside. They installed a long, metal rod in each hole and tightened our GeoLock Wall Anchors on each end. In this situation, our GeoLock Wall Anchor System permanently stabilized the foundation wall by anchoring them to the soil beneath the garage concrete. After installation and over time, homeowners can tighten them to continue keeping their wall at normal position. Next, our guys capped the anchors in the garage with a concrete coating and replaced the soil outside. Lori was happy with the outcome and was glad she went with American Waterworks to solve her home needs!

Bowing Basement Walls Straightened and Stabilized in Good Thunder, MN

Dean D. in Good Thunder, MN contacted us when he noticed that he had two severely bowing walls in his finished basement. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his walls, develop the right solution for his situation and provide him with a FREE estimate. We recommended installing wall anchors because they would permanently stabilize and start to straighten his walls and it would be far more cost-effective than replacing the foundation. He liked our solution and enjoyed working with our Specialist, so he scheduled the installation.

In order to get to the block foundation, we had to remove the drywall. We excavated the soil around the sides of the home with the bowing walls. This helps up straighten the walls back to their original position. Then we drilled small holes through the block foundation walls into the soil. We inserted long metal rods, and once the rods were in place, we secured each end with anchor plates. We tightened the anchors as far as they could go, and the wall started to straighten. Dean's basement walls have been permanently stabilized with the installation of the wall anchors. He is glad he chose to protect the foundation of his home.
