Concrete Repair Makes Owners Happy in Wyoming, MN

Dan B. of Wyoming, MN had a divet in his concrete that he wanted to have looked at and fixed, so he called American Waterworks to schedule a Free Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Reed Hudson, came out to inspect the concrete and came up with a solution. He proposed our PolyLevel and NexusPro to resolve the issue. After Dan got all of his questions answered, he went ahead with the project.

Our foreman, Trevor Ellingson, and his production crew started the installation by injecting PolyLevel underneath the crack of the concrete. PolyLevel is a type of foam that fills the concrete gaps and stabilizes the surface. It's a waterproof product that doesn't wash away, and after installation, you can walk, drive, bike, etc. on it within 15 minutes after injection. Next, they applied one layer of our NexusPro solution on the crack to seal it and complete the project. NexusPro provides long-term suppleness and prevents any additional cracking or spuming. Dan was glad he chose American Waterworks to improve and stabilize the surface of his concrete!

PolyLevel Saves Sidewalk in Hugo, MN

One of our homeowners in Hugo, MN, was due for their yearly inspection with us, American Waterworks. Knowing that the date was creeping up on them, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and set the date for their annual service. After their date was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Edgar, one of our Service Technicians. Upon Edgar's arrival, he surveyed the work we completed and noticed it was all running smoothly. However, Edgar did take note that the homeowner's sidewalk was sinking and the joint by the garage required replacing. Edgar alerted the homeowners of the issues and recommended that they replace the joint and lift the sidewalk. Knowing we do excellent work, the homeowners agreed to Edgar's recommendations. After getting approval, Edgar directed the plans to the assigned crew, and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Troy, and his crew were assigned to tackle the task. As soon as they arrived, the crew focused on inserting the PolyLevel underneath the sinking sidewalk. The PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, lifts settled and sinking concrete slabs. After the sidewalk was lifted and leveled, the crew removed the weakened joint. Once the old joint was removed, the crew replaced it with the NexusPro Joint Sealant, a silicone-based sealant. Following the NexusPro installation, the crew cleaned up their job site and left the home. The homeowner was pleased with the repairs completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to provide another homeowner peace of mind.

Front Walkway Gets a Lift in Hugo, MN

A homeowner from Hugo, MN, was growing tired of constantly tripping over his front stairs. His front concrete walkway had been slowly sinking for years, slowly pulling away from the steps, creating the trip hazard. Not wanting the issue to worsen or even impact a future sale of the home, he decided to begin the research process. During his search, he found the American Waterworks website and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, headed out to the home.

Once Kyle finished his inspection of the concrete, he met with the homeowner and informed him that American Waterworks could help fix his issue using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back into place. He went on to say that we finish our lifting process by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete slab, preventing any debris or moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and work was scheduled for a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no issues. Now our homeowner can enjoy his space without worrying about trip hazards!

Settling Concrete in Centerville, MN Lifted with PolyLevel

A homeowner in Centerville, MN noticed multiple concrete slabs on her property had begun sinking and was concerned about their stability. She decided to look into concrete lifting in the area and found our website. After browsing our website, the homeowner was impressed with our 5-star reviews and scheduled her FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Dave S., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the homeowner's concerns and answer any questions. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils holding the concrete slabs upright. For this reason, Dave recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof polyurethane foam expanding formula that is engineered to accurately lift sinking concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that is highly flexible and durable for joints and cracks. After reviewing Dave's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the gaps in the soil causing the slab to lift. Once it is at the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, they used NexusPro to seal the joints and repair the cracks that had formed. After they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
