Before & After Photos

This chimney in Pleasant Hill, Ohio was showing signs of settlement, creating both structural concerns and visible separation from the home. Using two helical piers, we stabilized & lifted the chimney foundation, which puts the chimney back up against the home and halts further movement. The "before" photo show the misalignment caused by the settling, while the "after" image highlights a secure, reinforced foundation and restored alignment. A clean, lasting solution to a serious problem.

The wall in this basement in California, KY, was not only leaking, it was also actively bowing inwards. Our Inspector was easily able to diagnose both issues just by looking at the moisture stained paneling system and the ceiling panels, which were all out of whack due to the wall shifting inwards. We waterproofed this wall by installing our WaterGuard subfloor drains at the base of the wall, and then we connected the drains to our SuperSump Plus sump pump system, (which was attached with our battery backup system). We then covered the wall with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to drain any moisture that may transfer through the porous concrete down into our subfloor system. To stabilize the moving wall, we braced it with our PowerBraces. These braces are made of galvanized steel, and they can be tightened throughout time to straighten the wall back out. This homeowner was happy with the outcome.

In order to stabilize this bowed in wall, we installed our PowerBrace system. Our PowerBraces aren't just your normal steel beams. They are designed to distribute the weight of the walls evenly all throughout the brace, which will prevent damage to the floor joists. They are also easily installed and adjustable, which allows us to straighten the wall out over time. They also look very clean, are very durable, and are coated in zinc which prevents rust.

The wall in this basement had developed a substantial horizontal crack, caused by external pressure over time. Fortunately, because the top and bottom sections of the wall remained stable, our PowerBrace system was employed to correct the problem. PowerBraces, specifically designed to spread the wall’s weight across the basement floor and ceiling joists, prevent further damage to these areas. These braces are straightforward to install, typically taking just one day, and can gradually restore the wall to its original position. Additionally, their flexible design allows them to be fitted around obstacles, such as a fuse box.
