FFS came to our home for a foundation inspection. Scott Michealsen was the inspector. We had indications of the floors and walls moving. His inspection was thorough and each aspect was explained in detail. Overall, he was quite likeable, professional in his appearance and demeanor. His knowledge was unquestionably that of an expert.He informed us he did not find any issues with the foundation but agreed there was an issue, however, they would not be able to assist us. So I will conclude with him being trustworthy and honest as well.Overall I was very pleased and would contact him if ever I needed foundation advice in the future.

Adam came to give an estimate for a home buyer. He was professional, knowledgeable and educated us. He wasn’t an alarmist, which I appreciated, but rather gave options from least expensive to most expensive.

"I work with a medium sized real estate team that's been operating in the northern virginia area for over 30+ years. We consistently run into time-line issues and having our trusted network of contractors constantly learning about the process of a real estate transaction. Information I am sure they could live without. We had a total of 5 different contractors come out to Duke Drive in Alexandria, a listing we were under contract for. The job required sistering two floor joices in a tiny crawl space. All four of them declined to do the work. We figured the degree of difficulty didn't warrant them coming to sister two boards. Santiago came out the same day for an estimate, gave me a completion date and the work ended up being finished before the settlement date had to be pushed back a second time. Jon was also very responsive and quick to help me with the letter head required by the underwriters stating the job had been finished. All in all, starting a "real estate team" is such a great idea. Santiago knew the real estate process, I didn't have to explain it to him. He got the job done before a very short deadline and the entire process has been refreshing to say the least. I wish every type of large contractor would have a real estate team as you do. Keep up the good work!

The man who assessed was very knowledgeable. He pointed out other issue with homes foundation as well and explained why it happened and what it will eventually lead to. The men who showed up were on time, polite and respectful. They worked diligently in the cold weather and they also explained to me each step and why. We were very pleased. This was a small patio that was sinking because animals had repeatedly dug under it over many years. The patio was about to fall and separate from the house. Thank you!

Fortress Foundation Solutions demonstrated exceptional knowledge, integrity, and value throughout my experience with them. They will not try to sell you something unless you truly need it, which is refreshing.I originally contacted FFS (along with two other foundation companies) after noticing what appeared to be a bow on the interior side of a foundation wall. I was concerned it might worsen over time. The other two companies provided quotes to “fix” the issue, but FFS (specifically Matt Miller) properly determined that the appearance was caused by the original concrete form bowing during the pour. He explained that it was not a structural concern and actually recommended that I not use their services, as it was a non-issue.Matt took the time to explain the reasoning behind his conclusion. I later confirmed his assessment by digging three feet down on the exterior side of the wall and verifying that it was not bowed at all. This experience demonstrated not only FFS’s superior knowledge, but also their integrity. They were willing to turn away work rather than recommend an unnecessary repair.To show my appreciation, I decided to redirect the funds I had originally set aside for foundation repair toward crawlspace encapsulation (something I had planned to do later but was able to move up on my to-do list). Sam, Nick, Tone, and Brian made the entire process seamless, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Danny Camunas is the best foundation inspector I’ve worked with. Clear communication, honest assessment and recommendation, and—which is the rarest of all—admits when his expertise has reached its limits or the company cannot take on whatever the issue is. Fortress Foundation is not out to make an extra buck with bogus promises, they’re out to really help!

I would recommend this company because the sales persons spent a lot of time to listen to our needs, explain options, and answer our questions. They provided an estimate in person with options. Other companies came to house, listened to what we needed, and sent us estimates through email with no explanations.

Cope and his crew are absolutely awesome!! Jeremy the electrician showed up first and got things started. Then Cope, Jeremy, K'aell and Rick came out and got right to work. These guys walked me through every step and answered every question! I can not say enough great things about them and will would highly recommend them!
